Acne usually occurs because of hormonal imbalances that take place in the human’s body. Teenagers are most prone to acne, due to internal secretions that are released to prepare their body for maturity and reproduction. Many changes take place also in the mood of a teenager due to this instability of the hormonal secretion in the body. Sometimes adults can hardly understand these sudden changes that occur in the behavior of the teen. For example a teenager can gets up in the morning and be in a very good mood, and suddenly after noon he can turn grumpy and irritated. The energy level in teens is very high, improving the total functions of the body.

Hormones are essential for the individual’s health and wellness and many organs rely on these internal secretions. Hormones provide energy, stimulate the body and produce reactions needed to increase wellness.

When hormone levels are very high, sometimes acne occurs. This increased hormonal level in the body stimulates sebaceous glands to produce more sebum. When sebum is produced, skin becomes oily and greasy. This oil combines with dirt and dust and creates a perfect breeding environment for a bacterium that normally lives on our skin. When this bacterium meets this moisturized environment, it flourishes, pores become clogged and pimples occur.

Acne eruption depends on individual’s skin type and also outbreaks depend on several factors that can meliorate acne very fast. Some of these factors are exercise, hygiene, diet and stress. You must take good care of your skin if you want to get rid of acne. Most important thing for an acne sufferer is to cleanse his skin at least twice a day, but not more than four times a day. If you over wash your skin, it will become dry and more sebum will be released by sebaceous glands. As a result you can see more pimples appearing on your face and your acne can get worse.

Hormonal imbalances are the main cause of acne. Hormonal imbalances are also present during pregnancy, during premenstrual cycle and during menopause at adult females.
