Acne Hormones
A new phrase has been spread across the world recently, acne hormones. What is it and why are hormones involved in how and why we have acne? Hormones, if you did not know, play a major role in the spread of acne. Different types of people take on acne in different ways, some for example do not even get acne, whilst others suffer for it during their teenager years. There are a minority of people who have acne throughout their whole lives including their adult years and still do not know why they have it.
I will explain more about different types of people such as men and women and how each of their hormonal bodies respond to acne.
Males – Males generally have less of a problem with acne then women do, although not everyone gets them, people who do are typically picked on and called nerds. Males who have acne do not have any sort of a ‘condition’ many factors might play into why these people have acne. Some factors include a diet; what types of foods are these males eating? Do they have a healthy balanced diet or are they eating fatty foods all the time? This is the main reason males develop acne during their teenager years, when puberty starts and the oil glands begin to work overtime they spew out oil from the face. Keeping up your fluids is another way to make sure that the chance of a break out is minimal. When you keep your fluids up your body does not hold as much oil in the glands, this means that the oil is distributed more frequently but with less volume. Males’ hormones tend to be less ‘all over the place’ than females, the most common time for males to break out is during puberty when the hormones are jumping around trying to find their places. Apart from puberty, the only factors that may cause acne and pimples (not including medical conditions) will include their diets.
Females – Females are generally the ones who suffer from acne and pimples the worst. The most common time a girl gets acne is during puberty and pregnancy. This is when a females hormones are running wild and the body has trouble keeping up with them. Females tend to take acne more seriously than men because they do not like to be judged and always like to look their best. It is sad to say that many females, from a young age, do not keep up their fluids and tend to eat whatever they like, not thinking of the consequences in the future. This then leads the to ultimate shock when they finally see a pimple sprout to the surface or acne starts to appear.
As you may very well know, each persons body is unique and different treatments will work for different people. It is not safe to assume that keeping your fluids up and having a healthy diet will keep acne from resurfacing permanently. If you find that these traditional home remedies do not work then you might have to turn to other cures, it may take more than the first remedy for you to clear up your acne.
