You are planning a trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida and you are uncertain which are the must see shows and which ones you can skip? There are tons to choose from but listed here are the top 10 in no particular order.
A must see on any visit to Disney World is the Dream Come True Parade at the Magical Kingdom venue. This is a live parade held at 3 pm everyday and includes all the favorite Disney characters that you are familiar with dancing and singing along the parade route from Frontierland to Main Street USA.
Another treat offered is at the Epcot center where there is the evening event daily called Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. The World Showcase livens up with music, lasers, fireworks and water fountains to provide a night which is spectacular. All this is set on and above the lagoon of the World Showcase.
Join Rafiki of “The Lion King” for a jungle walk though the windy turns of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. There are stilted walkers and many jungle creatures to entertain all animal lovers. Included in this event known as Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade are Goofy, Mickey, Minnie and Pluto as well.
At Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the show called Fantasmic! This show is presented at the Hollywood Hills Theater and is a show featuring all the Disney favorites and lots of special effects. There is fireworks, music, a floating stage and water screen technology to show clips of classic Disney movies. This show features Mickey Mouse’s dreams which are tumbled into a nightmare as good and evil battle for supremacy of his dreams.
Wishes shown at the Magical Kingdom is a delight. Bursting over the skies at the Magic Kingdom, Wishes relates the powerful nature of dreams via fireworks. Jiminy Cricket and the Blue Fairy are the narrators of the display of dreams in the sky.
The Magic Kingdom has a follow-up to the Main Street Electrical Parade called SpectoMagic. This is a nighttime parade which shows millions of points of light that move around the park and make the night a fantastic display of color and sound.
Featuring the Kids of the Kingdom dancers and all your favorite Disney friends the Dream Along with Mickey show at the Magic Kingdom is presented many times daily at the front of the magnificent Cinderella Castle. This is a show for the kiddies that will have many kids and adults alike singing along.
The Cirque Du Soleil’s La Nuba in the Downtown Disney area is not a typical Disney show but is situated at the Downtown Disney entertainment area. This is a show containing 90 minutes of great artistic performances that are great to take in.
The party in motion at the Block Party Bash is a great offering brought to you by Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This features the well loved characters from Disney and Pixar films and this moving show winds through the park’s grounds. Buzz, Woody and many other favorites all come to life in this spectacular show with acrobatic artists and dancers.
For dinner and some entertainment with all you can eat buffet meals there is the Hoop-De-Doo Musical Revue at Fort Wilderness. This is one of the best shows shown at Walt Disney and serves classic American cuisine like fried chicken and corn on the cob. This is a good time for the entire family.
