Nowadays, maximizing your budget is important. But don’t let that cramp your fashion style! You can still look good in a tough economy by seeking less costly items for your normal day wear. Here are a few tips for saving money on clothes and accessories without forsaking style.
Sale items. Obviously a good way to save money on accessories is to not pay full price for them! Keep a watch for sales at your most preferred stores for things like handbags and jewelry then stockpile the must-have pieces. Try to use two for the price of one offers also. If you can’t make it to the stores on a regular basis don’t miss out, just enrol for email or phone reminders from your favorite stores. Buying your accessories when they are on sale will save you a ton of money.
End of season purchases. That gorgeous purse has been haunting you all season, but it was so expensive – it is likely to be marked down at the end of the season to make room for new season stock, so keep your eyes pealed! Buy your favorite bag or shoes at the end of the season to get the prices you love.
Buy second-hand. I don’t think anyone will notice if the jewelry you’re wearing is used – unless you tell them. Good quality accessories last for a long time. You can take advantage of that by searching in op shops for your gear. You’ll be amazed at what you will find at the thrift store and pleasantly surprized by the cost. Find great belts and handbags there too. Vintage clothing stores are becoming really popular places to get a bargain on accessories.
Go shopping online. You will surely find some great clothing and accessory items at sales on the web. Try Ebay which always has a huge choice of gear 365 days of the year. Prices start at one dollar but be sure to include shipping costs when working out how much money you will have to pay for an item. A good rule is to never pay more than you would pay for the accessory at a thrift shop, even if you really love it. Keeping a sensible head is the secret to saving money on accessories.
