Flat Vasectomy 2017
The flat vasectomy method does not require dissection of the vas duct from the scrotum. The vas duct is isolated in a fold of scrotal skin and a clamp is applied to maintain that position. The U-shaped jaws of a bipolar device are applied around the clamp and the region between the jaws is coagulated using radio frequency (RF) energy. A small uncoagulated portion of scrotal skin and vas duct is then removed.
In the video the process is demonstrated using chicken skin and a dyed noodle “vas duct”.
