Miranda Lambert Tickets – Miranda Lambert Leads Cma Award Nominees

.tags The initial list of country music nominees for the 2010 CMA Awards were announced on Aug. 31, and The Boot reports that Miranda Lambert led the pack with five nods … but she was only getting warmed up! Country music megastars Chris Young and Justin Moore read a partial list of nominations at Ryman Auditorium in the country music capital of Nashville, Tennessee on the final day of August, revealing the nominees in seven CMA categories: New Artist, Vocal Duo, Vocal Group, Musician, Single, Song and Music Video of the Year.

Beating Lady Antebellum for the most nods by one (Lady A earned four nominations), Miranda Lambert will even be competing with herself for Single and Video of the Year! The Boot reports that Lambert’s “The House That Built Me” and “White Liar” are both nominated in the Single and Video of the Year categories. As if five nominations wasn’t a feat in itself, Miranda Lambert added four more nods on Sept. 1.

Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley announced the remaining nominations in five categories on Good Morning America on Sept. 1. Lambert made history with her nine CMA Awards nominations, the most ever for a female country music artist, reports Billboard.com. Lambert fell short of Alan Jackson’s overall record of 10 nominations, which was set back in 2002, and Merle Haggard is the only other country artist to receive nine or more nominations. Fans can get Miranda Lambert tickets to see the history-maker live, as she has dates lined up through December.

This year Lambert will vie for the Country Music Association’s top honor, Entertainer of the Year, along with Lady Antebellum, the Zac Brown Band, Keith Urban and Brad Paisley. She is also up for Female Vocalist (along with Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood) and Album of the Year for Revolution (which will face off against Lady A’s Need You Now, Underwood’s Play On, George Strait’s Twang and Bentley’s Up on the Ridge). Lambert’s “White Lair” is nominated in the Song of the Year category (award goes to songwriters). She penned “White Liar” with Natalie Hemby. Tom Douglas and Allen Shamblin are nominated for Lambert’s “The House That Built Me” along with songwriters for “A Little More Country Than That,” “Need You Now” and “Toes.”

The 44th Annual Country Music Association Awards will air live from Nashville on Nov. 1 and Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will co-host the star-studded award show for the third year in a row. Lambert may clean up at this year’s CMA Awards, as she has been lucky thus far in 2010.
Lambert walked away with three awards at this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards and also became engaged to fellow country crooner Blake Shelton (who is up for Male Vocalist of the Year and Single and Music Event for his collaboration with Trace Adkins on “Hillbilly Bone”). “I’m going to start putting 10 on everything. It’s my lucky number, I guess,” Lambert said on Good Morning America.
