Raw Vegan Food For Weight Loss & How to Use Raw Natural Foods For Optimal Health

.tags

Raw vegan food for weight loss is very effective – there seems to be general agreement on this point and many raw foodists even have a hard time gaining weight. However, there is a great deal of discussion concerning the long term health benefits and possible problems with a raw diet. The key is awareness. If you know what to look out for then it is much easier to find balance in a diet that contains a great deal of raw foods.

For some people eating raw vegan foods can be an amazing experience. Common positive effects are an increase in energy, improved digestion and overall health, clear skin, clarity of thought…

But the raw diet is not always a walk in the park. Some common deficiencies and problems in a raw vegan diet, their signs and symptoms, and antidotes:

*Calcium Deficiency- muscle cramping, muscle irritation, eye twitching, hypertension. Antidote: eat more green leafy vegetables or take one of the various calcium supplements available (coral calcium is probably the best)

*Vitamin D deficiency- weak bones and general pain and discomfort. This is a common modern health problem and testing is the only way to truly know if you are deficient. The sun is a great source of Vitamin D. Bright sunlight is not required – even the sky shine on a cloudy summer day will stimulate formation of some Vitamin D in the skin.

*Dental Problems. Many people develop dental problems while on a raw vegan food diet. The best remedies: eat more greens and avoid dried fruits, nuts, orange juice, and acidic fruits.

*Protein deficiency – hair loss, thin skin, fatigue, difficulty speaking, slow wound healing. If you are looking for a good vegan protein supplement then hemp protein supplements are a good way to go. Your need for protein increases when you are getting a lot of exercise.
