Russia: Putin quizzes child prodigies at Russian Geographical Society awards
President Vladimir Putin was left impressed after he quizzed nine-year-old Miroslav Oskirko and five year old Timofei Tsoy on their knowledge of geography at the Russian Geographical Society awards in Moscow on Thursday.
The children became famous after Miroslav took part in the Amazing People [Udivitelniye Lyudi] TV show, while Timofei won hearts when he appeared on the Best of All [Luchshe vsekh] program. Putin did not give them an easy time asking young Timofei “The capital of which country is Ouagadougou?” to which the young lad answered correctly “Burkina-Faso”.
