Paul’s Video Blog: Diagnosed with Prostate Cancer

Hey, time to get a little serious here. Recently I was diagnosed with Prostate cancer. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer, other than skin cancers, in American men. The American Cancer Society estimates that during 2008 about 186,320 new cases of prostate cancer will be diagnosed in the United States. About 1 man in 6 will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime, but only 1 man in 35 will die of it. More than 2 million men in the United States who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer at some point are still alive today. I plan on being part of that group. The good news is that they found it early and at 55 I’m in great shape. This is the first of what I hope to be many entries as I make this journey so subscribe to my channel for updates. I’ve discovered that many let this go untreated and eventually loose to it. I don’t plan on letting that happen and hope that I can inspire those who have been diagnosed to take action.

OK, enough serious stuff! Go poke around my channel and check out the other videos.

Like I say in the video, I’m not doing this for people to feel sorry for me. I’m doing great and what I want to be able to do is alert others to this. This is the first part of my video diary. My second will come the first week in April and then whenever I have something to say. I am checking with my doctors to see if I can take the camera along with me for my treatments or surgery. I hope the suits don’t get involved. See you again soon. Subscribe to my channel and tell others.
